The commissioner of Police, Zamfara police command, CP Mohammed Bunu has paid a working visit to entire Zamfara north particularly to Police formations and Emirs of Kaura Namoda, Shinkafi, Zurmi and Birnin Magaji to strengthen police operations in the state.
This was revealed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) ASP Yazid Abubakar in a Press release made available to SMARTS NEWS saying the visit was for the CP to know operational terrains, meet and interact with local communities as well as to apprise the security challenges confronting the state.
“The Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Police Command, CP MOHAMMED BUNU embarked on operational tour of inspections to police formations and visits to communities under Shinkafi, Zurmi, Birnin Magaji and Kaura Namoda Divisions comprising Shinkafi and Kaura Namoda Area Commands. He lectured the officers and men on emerging security challenges and the command’s efforts in combating them in line with the teaching, vision and mission of the Ag. Inspector General of police.” ASP Yazid said
According to him, the CP also paid courtesy visits to their Royal Highnesses Alhaji Muhammad Makwashi Isah, Emir of Shinkafi; Alhaji Muhammad Bello Sulaiman, Emir of Zurmi; Alhaji Hussain Mode Usman, Emir of Birnin Magaji and Alhaji Dr Sunusi Muhammad Ahmad Asha, Emir of Kaura Namoda respectively.
The CP who appreciated the warm reception accorded him and his officers during the visits, solicited continuous support and cooperation to the police and other security agencies in order to effectively discharge their mandates.
In their separate remarks, their Royal Highnesses, the emirs of Shinkafi, Zurmi, Birnin Magaji and Kaura Namoda, appreciated the Commissioner of Police for the visit and interactions he had with them in search for the lasting solution to the lingering security challenges bedeviling the state.
CP Bunu who also met with other stakeholders to include vigilante, and Civilian JTF, Yansakai members and other members of the public urged them not to take laws into their hands and always report any suspicious person to the police for prompt action.
