The Commissioner of Police for the Zamfara State Command, CP Ahmad Muhammad Bello, confirmed the incident to Radio Nigeria, stating that security forces acted swiftly following the blast. The command dispatched specialized tactical teams to the scene, working in close collaboration with the military. According to the police chief, these joint forces were deployed to thoroughly assess the situation, clear the hazardous road, and guarantee the immediate restoration of peace and normalcy along the transit route.

CP Bello reiterated that the Police Command remains fiercely committed to ending banditry and terrorism within the state, pointing to major breakthroughs the security agency has achieved in recent days. Vowing that no stone will be left unturned in the ongoing effort to wipe out terrorist elements, the commissioner appealed to members of the community to maintain strong cooperation with security personnel, emphasizing that continuous public support through credible and actionable intelligence is vital to winning the peace.
