The Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, has donated 500 cows to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Zamfara State. The massive distribution is part of the former governor’s annual tradition aimed at supporting party faithful, leaders, and supporters during festive periods.
In a statement by the Publicity Secretary of the AA Yari political organisation Ibrahim Muhammad Birnin Magaji, the gesture spans all 147 political wards in the state, ensuring widespread coverage among various groups within the party. Beneficiaries include ward executives, party elders, members of Senator Yari’s political structure, and supporters of the Minister of Defence, Bello Matawalle. Additionally, the donation extends to new members who recently defected to the APC under the current administration of Governor Dauda Lawal.
According to Dr. Lawal M. Liman, Chairman of Senator Abdulaziz Yari’s Political Organization, the Marafan Sokoto has fully funded all logistics and auxiliary expenses required to transport and distribute the livestock. Under this arrangement, each of the 147 wards across Zamfara State will receive three cows to ensure grassroots celebrations.
The political organization explained that the gesture was intentionally designed to enable party members to celebrate the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir festival with ease and joy. Dr. Liman further urged all beneficiaries and citizens to utilize the sacred festive period to pray for peace in Nigeria and for wisdom for the nation’s leadership, particularly President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
