Malam Abubakar Mohammed Nakwada, the Secretary to the Zamfara State Government (SSG), has extended heartfelt congratulations to Governor Dauda Lawal for receiving a distinguished award of excellence for Project Innovation.
The prestigious award was presented during the Nigeria Excellence Award in Public Service (NEAPS) ceremony, held on Saturday at the State House Conference Center in Abuja. Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, conferred the award.
According to the Senior Special Assistant (Media) Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Suleman Ahmad Tudu in a statement he signed and made available to SMARTS NEWS the ceremony, organized by The Best Media (TBS) in collaboration with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, honored outstanding public service contributions across Nigeria.
In his congratulatory message, SSG Nakwada emphasized that this recognition is a testament to the effectiveness of Governor Lawal’s Zamfara Rescue Agenda. “This noble achievement is a testament that the Zamfara Rescue Agenda of Governor Lawal is very much on track and is well appreciated not only by the people of Zamfara, but also the larger Nigerian society,” Nakwada stated.
Nakwada lauded Governor Lawal’s administration for its innovative approach since taking office on May 29, 2023. He highlighted several key projects and initiatives that have had a direct positive impact on the lives of Zamfara’s residents.
These include the establishment of a Security Trust Fund and Community Protection Guards, the Zamfara Urban Renewal project, the reconstruction of healthcare facilities and schools, and the payment of a 13-year backlog of gratuities and salaries. The administration has also settled debts owed by WAEC, NECO, and some foreign institutions, sanitized the state’s payroll, and implemented a 30 thousand minimum wage.
Nakwada concluded his message by reiterating that these accomplishments have not only improved the quality of life in Zamfara State but have also earned Governor Lawal well-deserved recognition from across Nigeria.
