Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has expressed strong support for the Northwest Development Commission (NWDC), stating that its mandates align with his administration’s six-point rescue agenda.

Speaking at a courtesy visit by the commission’s management at the Government House, Gusau, Governor Dauda commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for establishing the NWDC, emphasizing its potential to address the region’s developmental challenges.
“Zamfara has been at the bottom of almost all developmental indices and faces multifaceted threats. This commission presents an invaluable opportunity to collaborate in fast-tracking the state’s progress,” Lawal said.
The governor assured the NWDC of his administration’s commitment to supporting its initiatives, particularly in tackling security, infrastructure, and economic empowerment.
NWDC Chairman, Alhaji Lawan Isma’ila Abdullahi Yakawada, described Zamfara as a home to him and reiterated the commission’s readiness to execute its 10-year development plan to uplift the northwest region.
