The former governor of Zamfara state, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, the State APC leader and Honourable Minister of State for Defence, has distributed 4,860 rams and shares N390 million to ensure the people can celebrate Sallah with ease and happiness.
This tradition, upheld by the former governor during festive periods, included beneficiaries such as members of the APC State Working Committee (SWC), local government and ward executives, party elders, youths, women groups, Ulamas, the less privileged, orphans, and party members across the state. Additionally, former appointees from Matawalle’s administration, including commissioners, special advisers, and senior assistants, also received the support.
In a bid to further aid Sallah celebrations, 140 individuals from the 14 local government areas were each given a gift of N100,000 each.
Expressing gratitude for the support from the Northwest Zone during the 2023 Presidential election, where he served as the Zone’s Coordinator, Matawalle recognized notable figures from the region, extending his Sallah goodwill to them.
He also praised the ongoing support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, assuring continued efforts to improve the lives and safety of the people through the dividends of democracy.
