Police Mourn Three Gallant Officers Killed by IED in Zamfara

The Zamfara State Police Command has been thrown into deep mourning following the tragic and untimely deaths of three of its finest officers, who paid the ultimate price while protecting the lives and property of citizens in the state.

In an official statement released today, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Yazid Abubakar, speaking on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Command, expressed profound sorrow over the devastating loss. He described the fallen men as heroes whose unalloyed commitment to peace and national security will never be forgotten.

The deceased officers were identified as SP Abdulrazak Musa Hassan, the Officer in Charge of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (OC EOD) unit, Inspector Auwal Ahmad, and Inspector Murtala Musa. According to the command, the trio confronted danger with exceptional courage and professionalism, standing at the forefront of service until their final moments.

The police command extended its deepest condolences to the families, loved ones, and colleagues of the deceased during this incredibly difficult period. Describing the loss as immeasurable, DSP Abubakar noted that the fallen heroes were not just officers, but brothers, mentors, and fierce defenders of their communities whose absence would leave a massive void in the service.

The statement concluded with a solemn reassurance that the ultimate sacrifice made by these three officers would not be in vain.
