NSCDC to ensure Compliance of Lockdown of Towns, Markets, Roads in Zamfara

Zamfara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Mohammad Bello Mu’azu vowed to enforce the executive order issued by the State government for restriction of movement in some parts of the state and closure of some roads and markets.

In a statement signed and made available to SMARTS NEWS by the Command’s image maker, SC Ikor Oche, said the Commandant gave the assurance while addressing officers of the command in respect of the executive order for security of the state.

He said, the Commandant called for total compliance of the order by the general public as the state governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle announced closure of seven roads, 2 markets and restriction of movement in some towns and villages vulnerable to banditry activities 

Speaking briefly while addressing the officers and men of the Corps in readiness for the enforcement of this order, Commandant Mohammed Bello Muazu enjoined the personnel to be ruthless in carrying out this order without  compromise.

“Commandant MB Muazu therefore, called on the general public not to flout this order as every directive contained in that order will be executed to the later” the statement read in part.

He noted that the command will not leave any stone unturned in ensuring a peaceful Zamfara State and that he will stop at nothing to compliment the relentless efforts of the Executive Governor in ensuring that  peace and normalcy is restored in the State.
