Ahead of Saturday’s election, a stalwart of All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Sani Abudullahi Shinkafi has met with his teeming supporters across 14 Local Government areas of Zamfara state and asked them to vote for Governor Matawalle for second term and all other APC House of Assembly candidates.
During the consultation meeting in his Gusau residence, Dr Shinkafi said his partnership with Governor Matawalle is sincere and not for personal gains but for the progress of Zamfara state.
“We join hands with Matawalle sincerely. You know that I have never joined any Party before (apart from APGA). We specialized on opposition
“But our elders like Bashir Yuguda Gusau and Senator Saidu Dansadau have convinced me to work with Matawalle.” Dr Shinkafi said.
Wambai while appealing his teeming supporters to vote for APC, he also berated the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state for asking all their supporters to serve as agents on election day saying that the directives are against Section 43 of the 2022 Electoral Act.
In his remarks, the Former State Minister of Finance, Ambassador Bashir Yuguda Gusau says despite the myriad of challenges facing Zamfara, Governor Matawalle has tried his best in the fight against insecurity and he should be given a second chance to consolidate.
Immediately after the meeting, Wambai has donated some support materials to his supporters before their departure.
