
The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has congratulated its past leaders and current National Chairperson, Hajia Aisha Ibrahim, for receiving awards during the Nigeria Union of Journalists’ (NUJ) 70th anniversary celebration held in Abuja.

In a statement signed by the National Secretary of NAWOJ, Wasilah Ladan, the association described the recognition as a well-deserved honor for the women’s dedication, hard work, and contributions to journalism in Nigeria.

NAWOJ also commended NUJ for recognizing journalists who have positively impacted the profession and helped shape the media industry.
The group applauded the NUJ’s efforts in promoting professionalism and excellence in journalism, while expressing hope for more collaboration in supporting journalists across the country.

NAWOJ further celebrated the awardees, noting that their achievements continue to inspire younger journalists.
