The Theatre Commander of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA (OPFY), Major General Warrah Idris, has instructed troops to intensify operations against the bandits who abducted students of St. Mary’s Catholic School, Papiri, in Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State.

This directive was contained in a statement issued by the Media Information Officer of OPFY, Captain David Adewusi, and made available to ‘SMARTS NEWS’.
During a visit to the attack scene on Saturday, Major General Idris carried out an on-the-spot assessment and received a comprehensive briefing from the General Officer Commanding 2 Division and Commander Sector 3 OPFY, Major General C.R. Nnebiefe.

He restated the military’s commitment to hunting down the perpetrators, noting that ongoing operations have already mounted significant pressure on the bandits. He called on troops to stay alert and ensure the criminals have nowhere to hide until every abducted student is safely rescued and reunited with their families.
The Theatre Commander also pledged that all required resources and support would be provided to ensure the success of the mission.
