The Police further arrested a drug dealer, Alhaji Shehu Aliyu, in Gurusu Village with nine sacks of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp. Similarly, five kidnapped victims were rescued during a joint operation in Talata Mafara axis and reunited with their families.
CP Maikaba commended the officers for their bravery and professionalism, assuring that investigations are ongoing to dismantle the networks of arms suppliers and criminal gangs.
He appealed to residents of Zamfara to continue supporting the police with timely and reliable information that will aid in the fight against banditry and other crimes.
