Bayero University Kano (BUK) has appointed Professor Haruna Musa as its 12th Vice Chancellor.
The announcement followed a competitive selection process, where Professor Musa, a seasoned Chemistry scholar and former ASUU BUK Chairman, secured the highest number of votes, 853 during a university congregation meeting. His closest rivals polled 367, 364, 161, and 18 votes.
After his victory at the congregation, he successfully passed the final interview conducted by the university’s Governing Council.
Professor Musa holds several academic and professional fellowships, including FSI, FICCON, FPIN, FTRAN, MCSN, and MSPSP. He is married and blessed with three daughters.
