She noted that even in times of conflict, poverty, and hardship, girls continue to demonstrate courage and leadership, adding that their voices are vital in building peace and driving development.

According to her, “every great nation begins with empowered girls, girls who are taught to believe in their worth, pursue their purpose, and lead with courage.”The First Lady emphasized that supporting girls on the frontlines of crisis means ensuring access to quality education, healthcare, and leadership opportunities to help them rebuild and shape better societies.

She also called for more opportunities for girls in business, entrepreneurship, leadership, politics, ICT, science, and technology, stressing that investing in the girl child is an investment in progress, peace, and prosperity.

Hajiya Huriyya encouraged girls across Zamfara and beyond to take pride in who they are, believe in their dreams, and continue striving to make positive change, reminding them that “the world is waiting for their light to shine.”
