Kano Govt distributes relief material to over 22,600 flood victims

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has announced the commencement of the distribution of relief materials to assist 22,658 households affected by devastating floods last year (2022) in the state.

This was contained in a statement issued to newsmen by the Press Secretary to Deputy Governor, Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu on Saturday.

SOLACEBASE reports that the initiative was part of the Federal Government’s Special National Economic Livelihood Emergency Intervention (SNELEI) Programme, aimed at supporting disaster victims and vulnerable populations across the country.

The distribution event took place at the Kano State Grain Store on Maganda Road, Nassarawa Local Government Area, where the governor’s deputy, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo represented him.
