Eid el-fitir: Zamfara govt maintains tough stance against bandits, calls for prayers

Zamfara State government has emphasized on its unwavering commitment to fulfilling promises and maintaining a tough stance against bandits in the state.

This was revealed by the Ag. Governor and the deputy governor of the state Malam Mani Malam Mummuni while extending warm Sallah wishes to the citizens in a statewide broadcast marking the Eid el-Fitr celebrations.

Governor Malam Mani has, on behalf of Governor Dauda Lawal, highlighted significant strides in improving the state’s security situation, attributing the progress to the dedication of security forces and Governor Lawal’s leadership style.

While encouraging citizens to draw on the lessons of Ramadan, the Acting Governor underscores the importance of prayer in restoring peace and harmony to the state.

Acknowledging Governor Lawal’s efforts in restoring normalcy, Malam Mani calls for continued support and prayers from the populace for ongoing security initiatives.

He reveals recent engagements with national security chiefs, including a visit by the Chief of Army Staff, prompted by directives from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following advocacy by Governor Lawal.

Reaffirming the government’s tough stance against negotiating with bandits, Malam Mani pledges aggressive measures to combat insecurity and ensure lasting peace.
