As the crisis in Zamfara state house of assembly began to bite hearder, the Chief Press secretary of the assembly, Bello Madaro Kurya said, Bilyaminu Ismail Moriki is the legitimate speaker recognized constitutionally.
Bello Kurya noted that there was no change of leadership in the assembly, saying the house leadership will address the internal rancor and called on tue general public to be guided by the statement.
“The Present Leadership of Zamfara State House of Assembly under the Speakership of Rt. Honourable Bilyaminu Ismail Moriki comprising of Honourable Adamu Aliyu Gummi Representing Gummi 2 as the Deputy Speaker, Honourable Bello Muhammad Mazawaje Tsafe Representing Tsafe East as Majority Leader, Honourable Rilwanu Marafa Anka Majority Whip, Honourable Aliyu Ango Kagara representing Talata Mafara South as Minority Leader and Honourable Nura Dahiru Sabon Birni the Minority Whip of the Assembly remains intact.
“The above Principal Officers were constitutionally voted in by the Honourable Members of the Seventh Assembly during its Inaugural Sitting in June last year and are still overseeing their respective constitutional mandates.” The CPS explained
He noted that by this Information therefore, the general public is hereby advised to note that there is no constitutional threat to the leadership of the present Seventh Assembly of the Zamfara State House of Assembly.
