APC Exco in Birnin Magaji rejects suspension of Jaji

In a swift and decisive response, the All Progressives Congress (APC) executives of Birnin Magaji ward in Birnin Magaji Local Government Area, Zamfara State, have firmly rejected the suspension of a member of the House of Representatives, Aminu Jaji by the state chapter of the party.

Aminu Jaji, who serves the Kaura Namoda/Birnin-Magaji Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives under the APC, was suspended by the State APC chapter on Friday over allegations of anti-party activities among other violations mentioned by the party.

During a press briefing held in Birnin-Magaji overnight on the same day, Abba Mamuda, the APC Organizing Secretary of Birnin Magaji ward, voiced the ward executives’ disapproval of the suspension.

Mamuda asserted that the local party executives were neither informed nor involved in the suspension process.

“On behalf of the 23 APC executive members of this ward, we totally reject the suspension of Aminu Jaji from APC,” Mamuda declared.

“We have no hand in writing any petition or suspension letter to the state against Jaji. We have no complaints or grudges against Aminu Jaji considering his service to the party and the entire people of Kaura-Namoda/Birnin-Magaji constituency and Zamfara State.”

Mamuda called upon the state APC leadership to reconsider and promptly revoke Jaji’s suspension.

“We are highly disappointed with the action taken against Aminu Jaji by Zamfara APC leadership.

We have no confidence in the current APC leadership in the state and Birnin-Magaji Local Government Area.

The state party leadership is violating the party’s constitutional provisions and guidelines,” he stated.

Echoing these sentiments, Isuhu Masko, the Vice Chairman of APC in the ward, praised Jaji as a pivotal figure in the party.

“As a lawmaker, Jaji is a true democrat, a grassroots representative. Therefore, the APC leadership should be proud of him and not think of giving him a suspension.

“We are totally not in support of the suspension of Jaji from the APC. We are in solidarity behind Hon. Aminu Jaji as our leader in APC,” Masko affirmed.

Radio Nigeria observed that the rejection of Jaji’s suspension by the ward executives highlights internal party discord and questions the procedural adherence of the state APC leadership. The ward’s stance underscores their support for Jaji and their call for a review of the suspension decision.
