The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially suspended Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, the representative for Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, due to multiple infractions including anti-party activities, factionalization of party organs, dishonest practices, and habitual absenteeism from party meetings and activities.
The suspension was communicated to the APC National Chairman by the State Executive Committee (SEC) of the APC in Zamfara State, following an emergency meeting held on May 17, 2024.
Publicity Secretary of the APC Zamfara State chapter Malam Yusuf Idris said the suspension takes immediate effect.
“This meeting reviewed a comprehensive report from a fact-finding committee that was constituted after the 2023 Zamfara State Governorship election to investigate allegations of anti-party activities.
The fact-finding committee’s report, dated July 15, 2023, implicated Hon. Jaji in activities detrimental to the party’s cohesion and recommended his immediate suspension. Despite multiple invitations, Hon. Jaji failed to appear before the 7-Man State Disciplinary Committee to defend himself against these allegations, leading the committee to reaffirm his suspension.” Yusuf explained.
He noted that the SEC of the APC Zamfara State chapter has endorsed the findings and recommendations of both the fact-finding and disciplinary committees.
These recommendations include a call for Hon. Jaji’s suspension to be ratified by the APC National Executive Committee.
According to him the initial suspension of Jaji was initiated by the APC Executive Committee of Birnin Magaji Ward and confirmed by the Birnin Magaji Local Government Executive Committee, prompting the state’s SEC to act in accordance with these earlier resolutions.
“The formal suspension notice has been forwarded to the APC National Chairman for approval and ratification, underscoring the party’s commitment to maintaining discipline and unity within its ranks.” He noted
