The former Governor of Zamfara State , Hon. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, Shattiman Zamfara has said that the All Progressives Congress, APC will capture all the 38 contestable seats in Zamfara State in the 2023 General Elections as it did in 2019.
The seats according to him are that of President and his running mate, State Governor and his deputy, three Senators, Seven House Of Representatives and Twenty Four Members of the State House Of Assembly.
Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar made the disclosure at a well attended Political gathering of Stakeholders/Associates /Supporters/followers and APC faithfuls beloging to his Political ideology held at Township Stadium, Talata-Mafara, Zamfara State on Sunday, November 13, 2022.
He described Zamfara State as the home of APC since 1999 to date , the former Governor traced this history to the formation of the defunct APP that turned into ANPP and later the APC which was established through the merger of some mega Parties in Gusau, the State Capital in 2014.
In their separate remarks, Ambassador Hussaini Abubakar Moriki, Nigeria’s ambassador to Japan; former governor of the state, Mahmud Aliyu Shinkafi as well as the Former governor elect, Mukhtar Shehu Idris expressed optimism that, APC will win elections at all levels come 2023 general elections.
On his part, senator Tijjani Yahaya Kaura, Managing Director Oil and Gas free zones said APC presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, governor Matawalle, former governor Yari and all other candidates of the party have total support of Zamfara people.
Highlights from the event include live performances of Political musicians, comedians and display of colourful APC flags.
Also attractives at the venue were dress code of various youth groups, chanting slogans of pressing Yari among others
