Govs storm Zamfara for Inauguration of 2,646 Community Protection Guards

Northwest governors of the Federal Republic of Nigeria have stormed Gusau, capital city of Zamfara State in solidarity with Governor Dauda Lawal who inaugurated Community Protection Guards (CPG) to tackle insecurity.

Governor Dauda Lawal inaugurated 2,646 first Batch of the CPG to complement the effort of conventional security in tackling banditry activities bedeviling the state which consumed many lives and property worth billions of Naira.

He appealed to the good people of the state to give maximum support and cooperation to Guards to achieve the set objectives.

Dauda Lawal who commended security agencies in the state for support and cooperation to his administration also urged them to extend hands of fellowship to the CPG and partner with them to succeed in restoring normalcy in the state.

The governor who reiterated his position on not negotiating with bandits called on all stakeholders to give maximum support and cooperation to the government to end all forms of criminal activities. Saying his administration will continue doing its best to restore normalcy.

Dauda who prayed for the success of the PCG personnel charged them to dedicate themselves to serve the state diligently with all sense of patriotism to crush bad elements terrorizing innocent citizens.

He declared that his administration is determined to collaborate with all stakeholders irrespective of Party affiliation to end banditry and other criminal activities in Zamfara state.

Governors of Kano, Abba Kabir; Umar Dikko Radda of Katsina; Namadi Umar of Jigawa; Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto; Nasir Idris of Kebbi State as well as deputy governor of Kaduna state Hadiza Balarabe were in attendance during the inauguration.
