In what can be described as a rare gesture, former speaker of the Zamfara State House of assembly Rt Hon Sanusi Garba Rikiji has agreed to shoulder the fatherly role of his late friend’s family Professor Abdullahi Muhammad Shinkafi.
Mr Sanusi Rikiji who is the immediate past chief of staff office of the Honourable Speaker, House of representatives, Abuja made his position on the family known shortly after commissioning the son of late professor Shinkafi, 2nd Lieutenant Abdulrahman Abdullahi Shinkafi alongside Riki’s biological Son Lieutenant Abdulkadir Sanusi Rikiji who graduated from the Nigeria Defense Academy, NDA, Kaduna.
According to him the duo officers Lieutenant Abdulkadir Sanusi Rikiji and 2nd Lieutenant Abdulrahman Abdullahi Shinkafi are now twins and that they will enjoy identical fatherly care and responsibilities. And pledged to stand as a pillar to Prof Shinkafi and his own families.
“As a close friend of late Prof. Abdullahi Muahammad (Walin Shinkafi), I will stand as a pillar not only to you but the entire family.” Rikiji tells the newly commissioned 2nd Lieutenant Abdulrahman Abdullahi Shinkafi.
“Celebrating Second Lieutenant Abdurrahman Abdullahi Shinkafi, the fourth child to Late Professor Abdullahi Muhammad Shinkafi, is like celebrating Lieutenant Abdulkadir Sanusi, the fourth child to Rt. Hon Sanusi Garba Rikiji”. Rikiji declared
“By the glory of Allah, the spirit of good family relation in existence between Walin Shinkafi and Sadaukin Zamfara families enjoys Allah’s bounties that Rt. Hon Sanusi Garba Rikiji (Sadaukin Zamfara) now stands as avowed father for life in all respect to Second-Lieutenant Abdurrahman Abdullahi Shinkafi.
