The Commissioner of Police in Zamfara State, CP Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba, has joined residents of the state and the global community in celebrating the New Year, wishing the people a peaceful, prosperous, and crime-free year.
In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Zamfara State Command, DSP Yazid Abubakar, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police the wishes a prosperous year 2026.
CP Maikaba expressed appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, for his leadership, guidance, and continuous support to the Zamfara State Police Command, which he said contributed to improved operations and successes recorded against crime in the past year.
The Commissioner also thanked the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Dr. Dauda Lawal, for his commitment to security and for strengthening cooperation between the police and other security agencies in the state.
He further commended the people of Zamfara State for their cooperation and the timely sharing of useful information with the police, urging them to sustain the partnership in the New Year to promote peace, security, and development.
CP Maikaba wished all residents of the state a Happy New Year 2026.
