In their continuous efforts to rid the region of banditry and other crimes, on the 1st and 2nd June 2023, troops of Operation Hadarin Daji deployed at Forward Operating Base Unashi in Kebbi State, coordinated a deliberate fighting patrol to Bandits enclaves in Sabuwa forest under Bukkuyum LGA of Zamfara State.
Our source revealed that On sighting troops approach, the bandits fled and abandoned 5 kidnapped victims. Hence the victims were rescued and handed over to the Sarki of Unashi village, after which they were reunited with their families.
In another development, the troops of OPHD deployed at Forward Operating Base, FOB, Unashi while on fighting patrol along bandit enclave in Naruba forest in Zamfara state, intercepted 2 kidnapped victims who escaped from their abductors due to the troops operational activities. The victims were handed over to appropriate authority for them to be reunited with their families.
Similarly, on the same day, the troops deployed at Magami while on fighting and confidence building patrol foiled bandits’ attack and kidnap attempt at Dogon Santsi general area.
The marauding bandits retreated and escaped into the bush while the troops successfully rescued the kidnapped victims. The victims were handed over to Sarkin Magami and subsequently reunited with their respective families.
