The First Lady of Zamfara State, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has commended the launch of the Nutrition 774 Programme in the state, describing it as a vital step toward tackling malnutrition and hunger among citizens.
The commendation was contained in a statement signed by Rabi Yusuf, Press Secretary to the First Lady, and made available to newsmen in Gusau.
Hajiya Huriyya expressed her delight in joining Governor Dauda Lawal at the official launch of the initiative, which was introduced to the state by the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Abdulmalik Garba Gajam, in collaboration with Mrs. Uju Rochas-Anwukah, the Special Adviser to the Vice President on Public Health and Food Security.
She reaffirmed her office’s commitment to supporting the programme through food distribution and agricultural empowerment initiatives targeting women and vulnerable families across the 14 local government areas of the state, emphasizing her resolve to promote nutrition and healthy growth among women and children.
