Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC, in Zamfara state have unanimously agreed to join the planned Nationwide industrial action as directed by the National headquarters of the two labour centers.
The Position of the labour unions was made known shortly after a joint State executive Council meeting of the NLC/TUC in Gusau, the state Capital.
Addressing journalists, NLC Chairperson Comrade Sani Halliru said the planned strike remains sacrosanct as all affiliate unions are directed to join unfailing as a committee for compliance have been set up and will leave no stone unturned.
According to him, both Private and public schools will not operate and all working places to include Hospitals, markets, filling stations, courts, motorparks, among others will be shutdown indefinitely.
“We urged members of affiliate unions and the general public to support us as we move to salvage the country and they should be ready as it may turn to Protect.” NLC Chairperson revealed.pupil and students security not guaranteed during the industrial action.
He added that pupils and students should remain at home because their security in schools is not guaranteed during the strike period.
On his part, the state chairman of the TUC Comrade Saidu Mudi emphasized on the unity of the two labour centers , saying they were united to fight for workers rights and ensure reduction in hardships disturbing lively hood on Nigerians.

Comrade Mudi noted that NLC and TUC will operate as one entity during the industrial action.
