Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have destroyed terrorist enclaves west of Kaura Namoda in Zamfara State.
This was disclosed in a statement by Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi, Coordinator of the Joint Media Coordination Centre, on March 11, 2025.
According to the statement, the operation took place on March 10, targeting the hideout of a notorious kingpin, Dan Sa’adia.
Several terrorists were neutralized, including a key leader identified as Babangida.
The troops recovered a locally made pistol, a revolver, and a PKT magazine from the camp.
In another raid at Gidan Rugga, the troops seized military-style uniforms, boots, and Baofeng radio chargers.
They also reopened the Kungurki–Walo road, which had been blocked by terrorists.
The statement reaffirmed the military’s commitment to eliminating terrorist threats and urged local communities to support ongoing security efforts.
