CP Bello assumes duty at Kebbi Police Command, seeks community support 

The Kebbi State Police Command has announced the appointment of CP Bello M. Sani as the new Commissioner of Police for Kebbi State. CP Sani succeeds AIG Chris Aimionowane, who has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police and reassigned to Force CID Abuja as AIG Interpol.

In a press release signed and made available to SMARTS NEWS NIGERIA by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Kebbi state police Command, SP Nafi’u Abubakar, said CP Bello M. Sani, a native of Bakori LGA in Katsina State, brings with him a wealth of experience and a strong educational background, having earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. His career with the Nigeria Police Force began on May 18, 1992, when he was enlisted as a cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police and trained at the Nigeria Police Academy in Kaduna State.

He noted that throughout his career, CP Sani has served in various capacities across numerous State Commands, Zonal Commands, and the Force Headquarters in Abuja. His diverse experience within the force is expected to be an asset to the Kebbi State Command.

In his introductory statement, CP Sani appealed to the residents of Kebbi State for their support and cooperation. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the public and security agencies, urging citizens to provide timely and accurate information to help ensure the safety and security of the state, thereby fostering an environment where socio-economic activities can flourish.

The PPRO added that CP Bello M. Sani’s appointment is effective immediately.
