Families of Slain Police officers receive N23m IGP Group life insurance in Zamfara

The commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Police Command, CP Mohammed Bunu called on the beneficiaries of the Group life insurance/IGP Family welfare insurance scheme to take good care of their orphans.

In a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) ASP Yazid Abubakar said the CP Made the call during the distribution of Twenty Three million, five hundred and seventy four thousand, two hundred and twenty nine Naira, twenty four Kobo (N23,574,204. 24) to 21 next of Kins of the police officers who died in active service.

CP Bunu who represented the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba presented the cheques to the beneficiaries at the command headquarters, Gusau said the gesture was part of the IGPs determination to ensure welfare of Police officers and their family to boost their moral those alive and the slain ones.

He therefore  appreciated the IGP for the kind gesture and also urged the families of the deceased officers to judiciously use the money to take care of their families. 

Mr. Abdulrahman Ahmed, who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, thanked the Inspector General of Police and the Command for the support. He also assured that the money given to them will be spent wisely.
