Troops of Joint Task Force (JTF) Northwest Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) have today (Saturday) destroyed the hideout of dreaded bandits warlord popularly known as Turji.
This was revealed to ‘Media Smarts Nigeria’ by a reliable source within the security operatives he said the troops were on clearance operation.
Turji was a renowned bandits warlord based in fakai forest of Shinkafi local government area of Zamfara State and he his gang have been terrorizing people of Zamfara, Sokoto and Katsina States and some parts of Niger republic who was bragging to be untouchable.
Rescued victims
However, the troops have conducted a clearance operation from Margarya to Dutsi general areas of the state during which bandits hideouts were discovered and cleared at Keta, Gidan Galadima,Modawa, Mazuma and Dutsi villages respectively” the source affirmed
He said, during the operation the troops of the OPHD had an encounter with the armed bandits at Keta and Dutsi camps belonging to the notorious bandits kingpin Kachalla Turji.
Our source noted that the gallant troops overpowered the Bandits who retreated and abandoned ten (10) kidnap victims who were subsequently rescued by the troops.
According to our source within the military the troops recovered 1 Rocket Propel Gun (RPG) Bomb, Military Radios and some ammunition.
Media Smarts Nigeria recalled that the troops of the OPHD have been taking war to doorstep of the Bandits in the ongoing onslaught against the marauding bandits.
