OPHD Troops kill notorious bandit Bada, rescue 2 victims, recover arms

Troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI OPHD have killed 2 notorious Bandits, rescued two kidnapped victims and recovered arms and ammunition.

This was contained in a press release signed and made available to SMARTS NEWS by the Director Defence media operations, Defence headquarters, Major General Musa Danmadami.

He explained that on the 6 November 2022 troops of OPHD have responded to a distress call of bandits attack at Gamraki village, Kwatarkwashi District of Bungudu Local Government Area, Zamfara State.

Noting that on arrival at the village the troops discovered and engaged the bandits who had kidnapped 2 locals to gun battle.Due to superior fighting power the troops succeeded and rescued the kidnapped victims, killing one bandit while others fled with gunshot injuries.

According to him the troops have equally recovered One AK-47 rifle, one magazine, 2 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition among others.

Maj. Gen. Danmadami further said nn the same day, troops also responded to bandits’ attack on farmers harvesting their produce at Yar Tashar sahabi village in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara state and killed a notorious bandit kingpin identified as Mr Bada.

“Bada was said to have attacked Yar Tashar village market and killed some farmers on 13 October 2022”. Danmadami said

The troops have recovered one motorcycle, some weapons and valuables.

The military high command commends troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI and encourages the general public to avail troops with credible and timely information on criminal activities.
