
The Federal Government has restated its determination to finish the Abuja–Kaduna–Kano expressway project before the end of next year.
Minister of State for Works, Barrister Bello Muhammad Goronyo, disclosed this during an inspection visit to the construction site.He explained that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recognizes the crucial role the road plays in national connectivity and has instructed that every effort be made to ensure its timely completion.
Barrister Goronyo urged the contractors to accelerate their work pace and meet the delivery schedule. He also directed the immediate patching of potholes and repairs of damaged portions to ease traffic and ensure smoother travel for motorists.
While expressing concern over the difficulties experienced by commuters, the Minister emphasized the importance of swift action to enhance safety and transportation efficiency along the route.
He noted that the Abuja–Kaduna–Kano expressway remains a key transport artery linking the North and South with the Federal Capital Territory, serving as a major driver of trade and economic activities nationwide.
