NSCDC Deploys 643 Personnel for Eid-el-Fitr Security in Zamfara

The Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 643 personnel across the state to ensure safety of residents and protection of property during the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

The State Command Public Relations Officer, ASC I Mohammad M. Umar, disclosed this in a statement on Monday, noting that the deployment was approved by the State Commandant, CC Sani Mustapha, to provide adequate security before, during and after the festivities.

According to the statement, the personnel have been stationed at various Eid prayer grounds and strategic locations across the 14 local government areas of the state to ensure a peaceful celebration.

The commandant urged the deployed officers to demonstrate professionalism, discipline and consistency while carrying out their duties throughout the festive period.

He also reaffirmed that the corps, under the leadership of the Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, remains committed to fulfilling its mandate of protecting lives and critical national assets.

The Zamfara State Command assured residents that it will continue to work to maintain security and order across the state during and after the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
