The Speaker of Zamfara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bilyaminu Ismail Moriki, has congratulated Alhaji Abdulkadir Ibrahim Bello on his recent appointment as the new Emir of Gusau (Sarkin Katsina Gusau) by Governor Dauda Lawal.
In a statement made available to newsmen by the Chief Press Secretary,Zamfara State House of Assembly, Bello Madaro Kurya said the speaker congratulated the new Emir during a visit to the Gusau Emirate, where he described the appointment as a well-deserved development for the people of the emirate.
He expressed confidence that the new emir would live up to expectations and serve with dedication.
He also prayed for Allah’s guidance and protection for the new monarch, who succeeded his late father, Dr. Ibrahim Bello, the immediate past Emir of Gusau.
Speaker Moriki used the occasion to convey the condolences of the entire 7th Assembly to the Emirate over the death of Dr. Ibrahim Bello, describing him as a leader remembered for his contributions to humanity. He prayed for Allah to grant him paradise and the Emirate the strength to bear the loss.
In his response, the new Emir thanked the Speaker and members of the Assembly for their visit and prayers, asking Allah to reward them.
The Speaker was accompanied by principal officers, members of the House, the Clerk, Head of Legislative Staff Mahmud Aliyu, and the Executive Secretary of the Assembly Commission, Alhaji Chika Mu’azu Dangaladima.
