Chelsea booked their place in the UEFA Champions League quarter finals by beating Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the second leg of the round of 16 matches on Tuesday at Stamford Bridge.

MEDIA SMARTS’ SPORT DESK reported that Raheem Sterling scored in the die minutes of the first half, to which Kai Havertz doubled the Blues’ lead in the 53rd minute from a spot kick. Chelsea managed to win 2-0 over Borussia Dortmund.

Recall that Borussia Dortmund beat Chelsea 1-0 in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 through a sensational strike by Karim Adeyemi.

The Blues therefore sealed the victory with an aggregate score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Chelsea is the first England football club to seal the Champions League quarter finals final place this summer.
