Tinubu appoints Lawal Liman as ABUTH Board Chair, 41 others fed establishments

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the appointment of board chairpersons for 42 federal organizations, alongside a secretary to the Civil Defence, Immigration, and Prisons Services Board, effective immediately.

This was disclosed in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on January 23, 2025.Among the appointees is Hon. Lawal M. Liman, who has been named Chairman of the Board of Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Shika, Zaria, Kaduna State.

Other notable appointments include Dr. Kayode Isiak Opeifa as Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation and Raji Kazeem Kolawole as Director-General of the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI).

President Tinubu has directed all newly appointed chairpersons to operate in a non-executive capacity and refrain from interfering in the day-to-day management of their respective organizations. These appointments, the statement emphasized, are part of the administration’s efforts to strengthen governance across federal institutions.
