
Professor Jafaru Makau Kaura, Chairman of the Governing Council of the Zamfara State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Tsafe, has commended the Zamfara State Government for its dedication to improving healthcare services, especially its recent attention to the college.

In a statement signed by Jamilu Sani Tsafe, the college’s Information Officer, Professor Kaura expressed appreciation during an inspection of renovated facilities at the school, thanking Governor Dauda Lawal for the rehabilitation efforts that have enhanced the learning environment.
He also appealed for additional hostel construction to accommodate more students and acknowledged the federal lawmaker representing Gusau/Tsafe for initiating a standard Computer Based Test (CBT) center at the institution.
The Provost of the College, Alhaji Hamisu Yusuf Yelwa, noted that out of 16 courses offered, 10 have been accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), while efforts are ongoing to secure approval for the remaining six.
He also called for corrections to the college’s gazette due to several omissions.
The college leadership urged continued support from the state government and stakeholders to further strengthen healthcare education in Zamfara.
