Troops operating under the Forward Operating Base Anka, 1 Brigade, in the Joint Task Force North West, have successfully neutralized two terrorists and seized significant weaponry in a joint operation with the Zamfara State Community Protection Guard (ZSCPG) and local vigilantes.
The operation took place in Bambaran Village, Anka Local Government Area.According to Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi, the coordinator of the Joint Media Coordination Centre for Operation Fansan Yamma, the troops engaged with terrorists during a fighting patrol.
The recovered items from the terrorists include a PKT machine gun, one AK-47 rifle, a magazine, and three rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition.
