Breaking: Yarima’s son wins House of Rep seat in Zamfara

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Ahmad Sani Muhammad of All Progressives Congress (APC) as winner for Bakura/Maradun federal constituency election in Zamfara state.

Declaring the result, the Returning Officer for the election, Dr Ahmad Kainuwa of Federal University Gusau says that the winner “has satisfied all the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of votes cast in the election.”

Ahmad Sani Muhammad is a son to the first civilian Governor of Zamfara state, Alhaji Ahmed Sani Yariman Bakura.

APC scored a total of 55,292 votes casted in election while People’s Democratic Party (PDP) comes second with 17,555 votes.
