Tactical operatives of joint police and Military have repelled an attack on a remote community in Zamfara and killed two bandits.
This was revealed by the police public relations officer (PPRO) CSP Mohammed Shehu in a Press Release made available to ‘Media Smarts Nigeria’ in Gusau.
He explained that the operatives who responded to a distress call have engaged the terrorists In a fierce confrontation with the suspected bandits in a community under Tsafe LGA, where an attempted banditry attack on the community was repelled and two (2) suspected bandits killed while others fled with possible gunshot wounds.
CSP Shehu said the Commissioner of Police Zamfara State Police Command CP Kolo Yusuf, has Commended the Resilience of the Joint Police and Military deployed to Curtail the menace of Armed Bandits and other Criminal Elements in the State.
He noted that CP Kolo has called on the general public to improve and sustain their partnership with the security agencies in an effort to restore lasting peace and security in the state.
