MTN, a leading telecommunications company, has announced that all its offices and service centers nationwide will be closed for 24 hours starting July 30, 2024.
This action follows a series of vandalism incidents caused by the disconnection of customers’ lines due to the government’s NIN-SIM linkage policy.
Shortly after the incidents, MTN announced the temporary closure of its offices on Tuesday.
In a statement on X, MTN advised affected customers to use digital support channels during the closure.
“Dear customer, please be aware that all our shops nationwide will be closed today, July 30, 2024,” the company stated on its X handle.
MTN has also provided an online guide for subscribers to unblock their SIMs.
The company assured customers that regular operations would resume after the 24-hour closure.
