The Commissioner of Police Zamfara State Police Command CP Kolo Yusuf, has reiterated his commitment to sustained and improved working synergy with all the sister security agencies to effectively curtail Banditary, Kidnapping and other heinous crimes bedeviling the state for over a decade.
In a press release signed and made available to SMARTS NEWS in Gusau by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) CSP Mohammed Shehu said the CP gave the reassurance today (Tuesday) when he received the newly posted Commander 1 Brigade, Nigerian Army in a courtesy visit at the Police Command Headquarters, Gusau.
He noted that CP Kolo who commended the complementary support of the military in internal security operations said, the only solution to the prevailing security challenges was to improve and sustain the existing inter-agency synergy and also do away with rivalry among the securities.
The CP who thanked the Brigade Commander for the timely visit, reassured him of the Command’s continuous partnership with the military and other stakeholders in its quest to restore lasting peace and security in the state.
Speaking earlier, the Brigade Commander, Brigadier General S. Ahmed commended the resilience of the Police in Zamfara state especially during the just concluded 2023 General elections, noting that, Police being the leading agency, its role in internal security operations can not be over emphasized, adding that, the military only supports the Police because of its superior firepower.
The Commander further acknowledged the operational prowess of CP Kolo Yusuf, and called on him to document his working experiences for future reference.
