The wife of the Zamfara state Commissioner of Police and the state chairperson of Police Officers Wives Association (POWA), Mrs Aishatu Mohammed Dalijan has sympathized with the wives of the police officers that paid the supreme price while fighting criminal activities in Zamfara state.

Addressing members of the POWA during the 2024 international Women’s day celebration in Gusau on Friday, Mrs Dalijan prayed Allah to them to bear the loss.

The wife of the commissioner has also expressed her commitments to support the bereaved wives of the fallen heroes.

“Campaign for International Women Day 2024 is to inspire (women) inclusion. It’s for us to make collective efforts in ensuring that women actively participate and are given equal opportunity in all jobs.

“To ensure that our voices are heard and we’re taken into consideration in decision making.

“Women day also serves as a reminder for us to support and encourage ourselves in the way we can.

“With little I have as the chairperson of POWA, I will present some support to some of our women who lost their husbands while fighting criminals in the state (Zamfara).

“May Allah give them the heart to bear it and forgive their (husbands’) shortcomings,” Mrs Dalijan said.
