The troops of joint task force northwest Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) thwarted terrorists attack on Danjibga village of Tsafe LGA and averted farm produce destruction in Faru village of Maradun LGA all in Zamfara state.
A senior military officer who spoke to SMARTS NEWS said during the duo encounters three (3) terrorists were neutralized and 3 AK-47 rifles, 3 magazines, ammunition and two (2) Motorcycles were recovered.
According to him on the 7th December, 2023 the joint Troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI (OPHD) thwarted a terrorist attack on Danjibga village in Tsafe LGA of Zamfara state, following a serious fire fighting that left two of the terrorists killed while others escaped with gunshot wounds.
The Troops recovered 2 AK47 rifles, 2 Magazines and one (1) motorcycles during pursuit of the terrorists.
Similarly, on the same date, another encounter ensued between the OPHD troops and the marauding terrorists, following credible information on terrorists destruction of farm produce and farm lands at Faru village general area of Maradun LGA of Zamfara state.
According to our source, the resilient troops of OPHD immediately mobilized for a fighting patrol and engaged the terrorists in a gun duel forcing the terrorists to flee in disarray.
He noted that during the encounter one (1) terrorist was neutralized while 1 AK 47 Rifle, magazine, ammunition and one (1) motorcycle were recovered. The motorcycle was destroyed instantly.
