Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Zamfara State Command has instilled confidence in the public by ensuring a seamless Easter celebration in Zamfara State.
In a Press release signed and made available to SMARTS NEWS by Civil Defence Public Relations Officer, CDPRO, SC Ikor Oche, the command under Commandant Sani Mustapha has deployed over 700 personnel across the state, aims to bolster security measures before, during, and after the festivities.
Addressing officers and other personnel during a muster parade, Commandant Mustapha emphasized the Corps’ commitment to ensuring a safe environment for all residents and holidaymakers. Amidst ongoing religious obligations during the holy month of Ramadan, he pledged unwavering efforts to safeguard lives and property.
“The deployment strategically targets flashpoints and suspected troubled zones to preempt any security threats.” He said
Commandant Mustapha therefore urged the Rapid Response Squad and Counter Terrorist Units to heighten vigilance, especially as the period of Ittiqaf (Night prayers during last ten days of Ramadan) coincides with Easter celebrations.
While expressing solidarity with the Christian community, Commandant Mustapha extended warm wishes for a joyous Easter celebration.
However, he issued a stern warning to saboteurs, mischief-makers, and hoodlums, affirming the Corps’ resolve to swiftly tackle any disruption of peace during the period.
According to him the NSCDC Zamfara State Command, under his leadership, remains steadfast in its mission to uphold security and promote harmony throughout the festive season.
