Report from Sokoto state says, at about 10:30pm, Monday October 2, 2023 unknown gunmen stormed the parmanent site of the prestigious Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto.
According to credible sources who confirmed the incident to SMARTS NEWS the criminals arrived in a car (Golf) shooting sporadically to disperse students and other individuals around.
The criminals according to the source headed to the University mini market where they looted food items, upload the car and absconded.
No official statement neither from the Nigeria Police Force nor the management of the university as at the time of filing this report.
