
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Zamfara State Command, has rolled out 555 officers across the state to protect lives and property throughout the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

The Zamfara State Command Public Relations Officer, ASC II Umar Mohammad M., disclosed that the deployment was approved by the State Commandant, CC Sani Mustapha, to ensure peaceful festivities in all 14 local government areas of the state.
He explained that NSCDC personnel have been positioned at churches, worship centres and other key locations as part of enhanced security arrangements aimed at ensuring a smooth and incident-free Yuletide period.
The State Commandant reassured residents of the Corps’ professionalism, dedication and preparedness to maintain law and order, noting that officers will remain alert and proactive before, during and after the celebrations.
He also reiterated that the NSCDC, under the leadership of the Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, is fully committed to the protection of citizens and the safeguarding of critical national assets and infrastructure.
Members of the public were advised to celebrate responsibly and cooperate with security agencies to guarantee a safe and successful festive season in Zamfara State.
