CP Kolo Visits Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda, calls for security consciousness

In furtherance with the implementation of the Inspector General of Police’s safe school initiative across the country, the commissioner of Police Zamfara State Command, CP Kolo Yusuf paid a security assessment visit to federal polytechnic Kaura Namoda and at the same time patrolled Gusau-Kaura Namoda 63KM road.

While addressing the school management at the permanent site of the polytechnic, CP Kolo said, the police command in Zamfara under his watch was determined and committed to ensure safety of lives and property in accordance with the provision of the law.

CP Kolo Yusuf who was accompanied by the top police management team of the command said he was at the institution to have first hand information about the security architecture of the school with a view to improving and reorganizing the security arrangement on ground.

He therefore urged both staff and students to be security conscious and report suspicious movement to the nearest police office or other security agencies as was conducted round the polytechnic by the Rector of the institution.

On his part, Engr Yahaya Bande, Rector of the federal polytechnic Kaura Namoda expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Commissioner of Police Kolo Yusuf for his gallantry approach to end the lingering insecurity bedeviling the state.

Noting that, the polytechnic is relatively peaceful and security agents were deployed in the school for safety of the polytechnic community, saying the visit was timely.
