
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State has expressed profound sorrow over the recent airstrike in Tungar Kara, Maradun Local Government Area, which claimed innocent lives.
In a statement issued by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Haliru Andi, on January 13, 2025, the PDP extended condolences to the victims’ families and loved ones, describing the incident as a devastating loss.
The party, under the leadership of Dr. Jamil Jibo Magayaki, commended the ongoing military operations in Zamfara aimed at combating banditry and restoring peace.
While acknowledging the inherent risks of such missions, the PDP emphasized that the safety of innocent civilians must remain a priority.
The statement also lauded the support of Governor Dauda Lawal in facilitating security efforts across the state. The PDP further sympathized with the Zamfara State Government, the Maradun Emirate, and other affected communities, assuring them of solidarity during this period of grief.
