
Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu, Member representing Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has donated 300 bags of 50kg rice and 200 bags of Semivita to security agencies and the Christian community in Zamfara State to support the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year celebrations.

According to Aminu Lawal Bungudu, Chief Image Maker to the lawmaker, the donation was meant to ease the burden of the festive season and enable beneficiaries to celebrate with happiness, while also encouraging Christians to offer special prayers for peace, harmony and tranquility in Zamfara State and Nigeria.
During the distribution exercise, the Chairman of the Distribution Committee and former Sole Administrator of Bungudu Local Government Area, Hon. Sadiq Maiturare, who handed over the items, said the lawmaker urged Christians to use the Christmas period to pray for lasting peace and unity across the state and the country.

Beneficiaries of the gesture include all security agencies in Zamfara State, such as the Nigeria Police Force, Military, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Correctional Service, NDLEA, Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigeria Customs Service and Nigeria Immigration Service, among others.
Christian organizations that also benefited include the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Zamfara State Chapter, represented by Ambassador Machiel Oluwale on behalf of its Chairman, Evangelist Tajuddeen Afolabi Azeez, and the All Tribes Network, Zamfara State, represented by its Chairman Hassan Binna Usama and Chairlady Rita James. They expressed appreciation to the lawmaker and promised that the items would be shared fairly among beneficiaries.

The Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Command, CP Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba, thanked Hon. Zubairu for remembering the security agencies during the festive period, saying the donation would help personnel celebrate Christmas joyfully and would be distributed accordingly.
